Adams, Berks & Lancaster Counties, Pennsylvania 1729-1881 Church Records This data set contains information on almost 180,000 individuals mentioned in abstracts of baptisms, births, marriages, and deaths from the registers of more than fifty Pennsylvania churches.
African Americanns in the 1870 Census This data set contains alphabetical listings of approximately 660,000 black and mulatto individuals who were enumerated in the 1870 federal census returns from the following states: Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. In addition, it covers the counties containing the cities of Chicago, New York City, and St. Louis. Baltimore County is also included, as well as Baltimore City, which was independent from the county in 1870. Please note that the original indexers listed records for both of these locations under Baltimore County. From this data set you can get some information about the listed individuals, such as ages and birthplaces. You can also learn where to find copies of the original census records, which may contain more information.
Alabama 1800-1900 Marriage Index This data set contains alphabetical listings of approximately 179,000 individuals who were married in Alabama between 1800 and 1900.
Arizona, California, Idaho, and Nevada, 1850-1951 Marriage Index This data set contains references to more than 146,000 marriages that took place and/or were recorded in selected Arizona, California, Idaho, and Nevada counties between 1850 and 1951.
Arkansas, 1850-1900 Marriage Index This data set contains information on approximately 287,000 individuals who were married between 1850 and 1900 in Arkansas. This data set is a great resource because it brings together these previously uncollected marriage records and gives you easy access to information that you would otherwise have to obtain from local sources.
AZ, CO, NE, NM, OR, & WA, 1727-1900 Marriage Index This data set contains information on approximately 154,000 individuals who were married between 1727 and 1900 in select Western states and counties.
Bucks and Lancaster Counties, Pennsylvania, 1682-1825 Land Records This data set contains information on approximately 12,690 individuals mentioned in abstracts of deeds for Bucks and Lancaster Counties, Pennsylvania.
Civil War Confederate Pension Applications Index This data set contains alphabetical listings of approximately 28,000 individuals who applied for Civil War Confederate pensions in Tennessee. These pension applicants were either Confederate soldiers or widows of deceased soldiers. Since you can find information on where to locate a microfilm copy of the actual pension application, this data set is a great starting point for research into your Confederate veteran ancestors.
Colonial America, 1607-1789 Census Index This data set is one of a set containing alphabetical listings of people who lived in the United States between 1607 and 1789. These listings were compiled from censuses of early United States territories. These data sets give you some information about the listed individuals and also help you find the original records, which may contain more information.
Colonial Families of Maryland, 1600s-1900s This data set contains images of the pages from seventeen volumes of Maryland genealogies and family histories. Originally published by Family Line Publications, these books contain information about approximately 150,000 individuals. While most of the individuals listed have family roots in Maryland, some have roots in Pennsylvania and other surrounding states.
Colonial Family Histories #1, 1607-1920 This data set contains images of the pages from the all seven volumes of Colonial Families of the United States of America. Originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company, these volumes contain information about approximately 142,000 individuals.
Colonial New Jersey Source Records, 1600s-1700s This data set is made up of the images of the pages of nine books originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company. Comprehensive in its coverage of colonial New Jersey, this data set includes church and court records as well as records of marriages, land transactions, military service, wills, and inventories. In all, approximately 330,000 individuals are referenced.

Connecticut, 1600s-1800s Local and Family Histories This data set contains images of the pages of nine comprehensive volumes of Connecticut local and family histories. Because many of these volumes were published in very small quantities and for limited distribution, they may have previously been difficult to find and research. These detailed volumes contain information on approximately 420,000 Connecticut residents and their families. They also include information on individuals from surrounding areas (for example, New York, New Hampshire, and Maine) who may have been included in the genealogy of someone from Connecticut.

Referencing over 97,000 people who lived between 1760 and 1942, this collection provides little-known but first-rate source material that is essential to any researcher whose family research involves early New York State.
Early South Carolina Settlers, 1600s-1800s The eleven titles reproduced here were originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company and include a variety of records that are comprehensive in their coverage of early South Carolina. Everton's Computerized Roots Cellar, 1640-1990 Family Queries This data set contains alphabetical listings of more than 200,000 individuals who were the subjects of queries in Everton's Computerized Roots Cellar Ancestor Data Bank. Everton's Computerized Roots Cellar is an electronic database of family history queries. The purpose of a query is to find information on ancestors by making contact with other researchers seeking information on the same family lines. This data set includes information taken from queries originally collected by Everton Publishers and published in Everton's Genealogical Helper Magazine.
Genealogies of Long Island Families, 1600s-1800s This data set contains indexed page images from the following three books: Genealogies of Long Island Families, Volume I, Genealogies of Long Island Families, Volume II, Long Island Source Records. These books are comprised of articles that originally appeared in The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, one of the foremost publishers of New York genealogies. Together, the articles contained in these books reference approximately 60,000 individuals, creating one of the largest existing collections of Long Island, New York genealogies and records.
Genealogies of Mayflower Families, 1500s-1800s This data set contains images of the pages from the following four volumes originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company. Comprehensive in their coverage of Mayflower Families, these books reference more than 111,000 Mayflower passengers and their descendants. Each of the four books is comprised of family history articles that originally appeared in "The New England Historical and Genealogical Register" between 1847 and 1985. This collection represents the largest collection of writings from the foremost Mayflower scholars of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. It covers the locations where most descendants of the Mayflower Pilgrims had settled by the end of the eighteenth century including Cape Code, Plymouth, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard.
Georgia, 1851-1900 Marriage Index This data set contains alphabetical listings of approximately 277,000 individuals from Georgia who were married between 1851 and 1900.
Illinois, 1851-1900 Marriage Index This data set contains alphabetical listings of approximately 707,000 individuals who were married in Illinois between 1851 and 1900.
Indiana Deaths, 1882-1920 Vital Records Prior to January 1900 when statewide registration of deaths began, deaths were recorded at the local level by each county’s health office. The Works Progress Administration later extracted and collected these records into one set. This set has been compiled electronically in this data set and, as a result, these valuable records are now more accessible and easier to search than ever before.
Iowa, 1851-1900 Marriage Index This data set contains information on approximately 157,000 individuals who were married between 1851 and 1900 in select Iowa counties. Fully indexed, it is a valuable resource because it brings together previously uncollected marriage records and provides easy access to information that you would otherwise have to obtain from local sources.
Kentucky Family Histories #1, 1700s-1800s These books contain family history articles collected from The Register of the Kentucky Historical Society and from The Filson Club History Quarterly. The articles from The Register of the Kentucky Historical Society were published between 1903 and 1965 and include every Bible record and genealogical fragment published in the Register.
Kentucky, 1774-1924 Land Records The five volumes reproduced in this data set were originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company and include information on the landholdings of approximately 100,000 individuals. You may find information such as the number of acres held, entry date of the record, landholder's residence, and the nearest watercourse to the landholding. For those individuals who were granted land based upon their service in the Revolutionary or French and Indian Wars, it includes information about their military service. The volumes include information on landholdings prior to and after statehood.
Lineages of Hereditary Society Memberes, 1600s-1900s The 27 volumes reproduced on this data set were originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company and contain detailed lineages for members of hereditary societies. This data set includes information on approximately 440,000 individuals.
Maine & New Hampshire Settlers, 1600s-1900s This data set is made up of the indexed page images from fourteen books originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company. Comprehensive in its coverage of early Maine and New Hampshire, this unique collection of vital records, local histories, pension records, gravestone inscriptions, probate records, and census records references approximately 331,000 individuals.
Maryland Settlers & Soldiers, 1700s-1800s This data set is made up of the indexed page images from 15 titles originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company. In records ranging from newspaper abstracts and marriage licenses to military diaries and cemetery transcriptions, these books identify approximately 313,000 of Maryland's settlers and soldiers.
Massachusetts, 1600s-1800s Genealogical Records Referencing approximately 570,000 individuals and containing 24 volumes of vital records, family histories, passenger lists, military records, census data, and cemetery records, this collection provides an excellent cross-section of early Massachusetts genealogical data.
Midwest Pioneers, 1600s-1800s Those who traveled west in the early days of the United States did so for many different reasons. Some simply wanted a chance at adventure or the opportunity to own and cultivate their own land. Many of these early pioneers headed west to begin new lives with extended family, and once there, learn skills and trades in new career opportunities. Others migrated west with high hopes for finding a new home in which they could freely practice their religious beliefs, far from the discrimination and oppression of their original Eastern homes. Still others arrived in the Midwest with their military units and, liking what they saw, put down roots.
New York, 1675-1920 Genealogical Records This data set is a comprehensive index of more than 600,000 individuals who were found in New York records between 1675 and 1920. The information was extracted from a broad range of records including passenger lists, land records, city directories, and census records. Finding record of an individual in this data set is a great clue because it determines that the person lived in New York at a particular point in time.
North Carolina Wills, 1665-1900 North Carolina's wills were filed with the Secretary of State prior to 1760 and at the county level after that time. Between 1760 and 1868, the county court assumed jurisdiction over probate matters. Since that time, wills and estates have come before the clerk of the superior court in each county.
Pennsylvania Colonial Records, 1600s-1800s Pennsylvania's most influential early settlement was organized by a Quaker, William Penn. Chartered in 1681 by King Charles II, Penn's colony was primarily made up of English Quakers (many of whom were referenced in the book Persons Naturalized in the Province of Pennsylvania, 1740-1773 included as part of this data set) but also included German, Dutch, Welsh, Scottish, and Irish. Over the next century, Penn's "Holy Experiment" attracted huge groups of immigrants to Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania Family Histories #1, Pre-1600s-1900s This data set reproduces the pages of all three volumes of Genealogies of Pennsylvania Families from The Pennsylvania Genealogical Magazine, as well as the one volume of Genealogies of Pennsylvania Families from The Pennsylvania Magazine of History and Biography. The four volumes, originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company of Baltimore, Maryland, contain several hundred family history articles and Bible records which reference approximately 62,000 individuals who lived in Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries.
Pennsylvania German Church Records, 1729-1870 This data set reproduces the pages from all three volumes of Pennsylvania German Church Records — a collection of all the church records ever published in the Proceedings and Addresses of the Pennsylvania German Society. These records reference approximately 91,000 individuals, giving information about births, baptisms, marriages, burials, and more. You will find the names of parents and children, husbands and wives, and even witnesses and sponsors.
Pilgrims Genealogies and Histories, 1600s-1900s In 1620, seeking religious freedom, a small group of Pilgrims set sail from England determined to establish a colony in the New World. The ship that they chartered, the Mayflower, has been estimated to be only about 113 feet long. Despite its small size, the ship managed to accommodate some 102 passengers.
Selected Areas of New York, 1639-1916 Marriage Index This data set contains marriage information from selected areas of New York for approximately 216,000 individuals. Among the information collected here you'll find some of the earliest known church and government marriage information beginning in 1639and and continuing through the 18th and 19th centuries. Marriage information may not be comprehensive for the time and region covered.
Southern Family Histories #1, 1600s-1800s This data set contains images of the pages from all twenty-three volumes of Historical Southern Families and all six volumes of Notable Southern Families. Originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company, these volumes contain information about approximately 132,000 individuals.
Virginia Colonial Records, 1600s-1700s The 15 volumes reproduced on this data set were originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company and contain land record abstracts, census records, militia lists, immigration records, and general information about early Virginia settlers. This data set lists more than 200,000 individuals.
Virginia Family Histories #1, pre-1600 to 1900s This data set contains all five volumes of Genealogies of Virginia Families — a collection of family history articles compiled from eighty-four years of The Virginia Magazine of History and Biography. Each page of Genealogies of Virginia Families is accurately reproduced on this data set so you can see not only the text of the articles, but also the accompanying illustrations. These articles reference approximately 65,000 individuals from all parts of Virginia. Most of the articles trace lines of descent through seven or eight generations, covering three or four centuries. Genealogies of Virginia Families was provided by the Genealogical Publishing Company of Baltimore, Maryland.
Virginia Land, Marriage, and Probate Records, 1639-1850 This data set contains information on approximately 135,000 individuals mentioned in abstracts of deeds, marriages, and wills from Virginia's Augusta, Isle of Wight, Norfolk, and Spotsylvania Counties.

Kentucky 1851-1900 Marriage Index This data set contains alphabetical listings of approximately 317,000 individuals from Kentucky who were married between 1851 and 1900. These records were compiled by Liahona Research. From this data set you can obtain information about each listed individual, such as their name, their spouse's name, the date of their marriage, and the county where the marriage was recorded. You can also learn where to find copies of your ancestor's original marriage record so that you can learn even more detailed family history information.
AL, AR, FL, LA, MI, MN, OH, WI, 1790-1907 Land Records This data set provides you with easy access to land records held by the General Land Office (GLO), Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Department of the Interior located in Springfield, Virginia. The records, which date from the late 1700s to 1907, reference approximately 1,645,000 individuals and are often the only available source for obtaining legal land descriptions and identifying transfer of property ownership from the U.S. Government to private landowners.
Loyalists in the American Revolution The thirteen volumes produced in this data set represent some of the most comprehensive works ever published on Revolutionary War Loyalist records. Originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company, these volumes include a great variety of information including land records, biographies, muster rolls, compensation applications, pension applications, military diaries, and orderly books. Altogether, the volumes refer to more than 87,000 individuals in both the United States and Canada.
Maine, 1743-1891 Marriage Index This data set contains information on approximately 230,000 individuals who were married between 1743 and 1891 in select Maine counties. Fully indexed, it is a valuable resource because it brings together previously uncollected marriage records and gives you easy access to information that you would otherwise have to obtain from local sources.
Connecticut, 1635-1860 Marriage Index This data set contains information on approximately 134,000 individuals who were married between 1635 and 1860 in select Connecticut towns. Fully indexed, it is a valuable resource because this data set brings together previously uncollected marriage records and gives you easy access to information that you would otherwise have to obtain from local sources. It includes information on marriages that occurred before the establishment of the State Board of Health and, thus, before a centralized repository for marriage records had been established.

District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland & Virginia, 1740-1920 Marriage Index This data set contains information on approximately 250,000 individuals who were married between 1740 and 1920 in select Mid-Atlantic cities and counties.
Indiana, 1851-1900 Marriage Index This data set contains information on approximately 292,000 individuals who were married in Indiana between 1851 and 1900. Indiana was one of only three states whose counties issued marriage applications prior to the Civil War. The first law regulating marriages in Indiana was implemented in 1788 and marriage licenses became mandatory in 1800. If an Indiana ancestor's marriage record cannot be located in Indiana, you may wish to check the Cincinnati marriage records since many couples from Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana were wed there. While statewide registration of marriages was not required until 1958, prior to 1940 it was necessary for a couple to obtain a license from the county in which the female resided.
Maryland, 1655-1850 Marriage Index This data set contains information on approximately 258,000 individuals whose marriages took place between 1655 and 1850 in Maryland. Fully indexed and searchable by name, date, or location, this data set is a valuable resource because it brings together previously uncollected marriage records and provides easy access to information that you may otherwise have to obtain from local sources.

Roll of Honor: Civil War Union Soldiers Genealogical Publishing Company republished the Roll of Honor in 1994, and in the following year came out with the Index to the Roll of Honor. This index filled the gap left by the federal government, which had never created an index to this enormous body of work. The index indicates the volume and page number on which you can find each soldier's record. Genealogical Publishing Company then produced the Unpublished Roll of Honor in 1996. It contains the names, ranks, companies, and units of over 8,000 soldiers who were overlooked in the original Roll of Honor. Because the records of these soldiers were published in 1996, they are not included in the index that was published in 1995. However, you can now easily locate these soldiers using the index on this data set.

These records, found in 213 church, meeting, and pastoral records, were compiled by John T. Humphrey, and were published in a thirteen-volume set entitled Pennsylvania Births.
Tennessee, 1787-1866 Marriage Records Search this collection of 278,000 names from the marriage records of 21 Tennessee counties. This data set contains the most complete record of marriages available for many of these counties for the time period covered. Veterans' Schedules - U.S. Selected States, 1890 Military Records This data set includes approximately 385,000 war veterans and veterans' widows who were enumerated in the special veterans' schedule of the 1890 United States census. Veterans' schedules were extra forms that the census takers had with them when they were taking the regular population count. In 1890, these extra veterans' schedules were meant only to record information about Union soldiers and their widows. However, many census takes also recorded information about Confederate soldiers, as well as soldiers who served in different wars, including the War of 1812 and the Mexican-American War.
Virginia Famliy Histories #3, 1600s-1800s This data set contains all four volumes of Genealogies of Virginia Families from Tyler's Quarterly Historical and Genealogical Magazine and the complete set of Virginia Colonial Abstracts originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company. Genealogies of Virginia Families consists of over 350 family history articles originally published in Tyler's Quarterly Historical and Genealogical Magazine between 1919 and 1952. Virginia Colonial Abstracts was originally published in thirty-four paperback volumes between 1937 and 1949. These volumes bring together a wealth of information from Virginia records and are the result of extensive research in county courthouses, militia lists, wills and deeds. Most of the abstracts were based on the earliest records known to exist.
Virginia Family Histories #2, 1600s-1800s This data set is made up of the images of the pages from all five volumes of "Genealogies of Virginia Families" as well as the single volume titled "Virginia Gleaning in England." Originally published by the Genealogical Publishing Company, these collections of family history articles are especially useful because they often show the English connections of colonial Virginians. While most of the materials date from the 1600s to the 1800s, a small percentage date from before 1600 and after 1899. In all, approximately 113,000 individuals are referenced here.
